Pet urine leaves uric acid crystals deep in the padding, and once they dry they are largely insoluble in water — a normal shampoo or surface clean can lift the visible stain but leave the odour behind, sometimes for months, especially in humid weather. In most cases, yes. The enzyme treatment is designed to reach crystals that have already dried, which is exactly what a normal surface clean misses. Prochem ProSolve works with our Kärcher extraction. Very old or repeated soiling may need more than one treatment, and we advise you honestly during your quote before any work starts.
Yes. Prochem ProSolve is eco-certified, non-toxic and biodegradable, and Kärcher extraction removes the solution from the padding after treatment. Cats, dogs and children can use the sofa or mattress again after the usual 2–4 hour drying time, so a pet-friendly home is back in normal use the same day.
It is typically an add-on to a standard sofa or mattress clean, from +€35. Sofas start at €100 for a 2-seater and €130 for a 3-seater. For stronger odours it can be combined with an ozone treatment. We confirm the exact price for your situation from a photo before we come, using Prochem ProSolve and Kärcher extraction.
Yes. The same Prochem ProSolve enzyme treatment and Kärcher extraction process is used on mattresses, which start at €80 for a single and €120 for a double or king. Mattresses also receive our standard anti-mite clean, so urine and allergens are dealt with in the same visit.
